Introducing New Orleans

Rotterdam does not shy away from stunning architecture. There's the Erasmusbrug, the Markthal, the famous Cube Houses, and, on the Wilhelminapier, the New Orleans residential building. The best news? You can feel part of this bustling city by making this building the location of your extended stay in Rotterdam.

About the building

New Orleans is a 160-metres tall building made up of 45 floors with 234 high end, luxurious apartments. The building gets its sand-coloured appearance from the panels of Chinese granite that grace its exterior. The Portuguese architect, Alvaro Siza, included an appreciative nod to the New York skyscrapers of the 1930s by topping the whole thing off with an art deco style crown.

The building offers many different apartment types: smart one-bed and one-bed premium apartments, two-bedroom apartments, and two-bedroom executive apartments. Each apartment comes fully furnished (including a Nespresso machine, washing machine, dryer) and includes weekly cleaning services. A (motor) bike storage room is available to residents and parking is available under the building for a rental fee.

For days when you don't feel like heading out of the building, you'll be able to take advantage of the gym, sauna, steam room, and indoor swimming pool. On sunny days, you can even relax outside on the sun deck. And on those days when you do want to explore, there is plenty to keep you entertained. The Fenix Food Factory, Hotel New York, the Rotterdam Photo Museum, and the new Foodhallen are all in the immediate surrounds.

The city has been featured as a “top ten” city in both Lonely Planet and Rough Guide, with modern architecture, art, shopping, and a vibrant food scene as key highlights.

An extended stay at New Orleans means you'll be right on the banks of the Maas River and within walking distance of the city centre, not to mention just 20-minutes’ drive from Rotterdam The Hague Airport.
