You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants, cafes and shopping options. Right next to the residence our residents can find the urban foodcourt, uniting a diverse range of food stands serving heavenly dishes produced by local food entrepreneurs. You can access the highway in no time, reach Schiphol Airport in 10 minutes and the public transportation hub ‘Station Zuid’ (with excellent transport links: trains, the subway, tram lines and a bus connection) is just a 2-minute walk away.

Your international hire's first weeks: Five things to get right

You've done the hard part. After weeks of interviews and negotiation, you've brought a talented international professional into your Dutch team. The offer is signed, the start date is set, and it's tempting to think the work is finished.

It isn't, quite. The first few weeks on the ground are where a new arrival either finds their feet or quietly starts to struggle, and the difference usually comes down to logistics rather than anything to do with the job itself.
